Pavshyno Solar PV Power Plant

Utility-Scale Solar Engineering Case Study

Avenston has completed the design of this facility in 2019 at the request of a Ukrainian investor. This terrestrial solar power plant «Pavshyno Solar» has been constructed in order to produce clean electricity and further generate profits from its sale at a “green” tariff.

Ground-based solar power plant PV Plant Pavshyno Solar is located in west part of Ukraine – Pavshyno, Pavshynska settlement council, Mukachivskyi district, Zakarpatska region, Ukraine. The power plant is putted into operation on 2019 with installed capacity- 4.16 MW. “Elit-Plyus M” LLC is a legal entity operating the power plant. It obtained the license for electricity generation on December 24, 2019 and permitted for the Feed-in-tariff in hryvnias equivalent of 15.03 eurocents starting from January 17, 2020.

Project design and engineering consulting is one of the directions of our company. In PAVSHYNO PV project we have provided the basic wishes of the client – reliable technical solutions, high-performance poly-Si modules and affordable inverters of good quality. Accessible and efficient – the main idea of the project of this station. The annual produced energy is expected to be 4894 MWh.

Key project details:

  • Capacity: 4,158 MWp
  • Stage: Under construction
  • Solar modules: Q.Power L-G5 330 (by Hanwha Q-Cells)
  • Solar inverters: Sungrow SG 80-KTL
  • Mounting structures: Ground mounted, fixed
  • Area: 6,9121 ha
  • Location: Transcarpathian region, Ukraine

List of our services:

  • Consulting and assistance in business planning of the project;
  • Analysis and selection of major technological solutions;
  • Feasibility study of the project;
  • Pre-design surveys;
  • Development of project documentation of the stage “Project” and passing of expertise;
  • Expert support on formal issues prior to commencement of construction works;
  • Consulting on optimization of procurement and delivery of basic equipment and materials;
  • Pre-PPA contract maintanance and support.

Our company has developed the project documentation, which also includes a feasibility study of design solutions, capacity determination of basic construction works, equipment requirements, building materials and structures, initial support and pre-PPA contract maintenance. In addition, the procurement department assisted in the procurement phase and consulted on the selection of solar modules and inverters.

At the request of the client, the Avenston team has developed project documentation for the project, which will be implemented in the western region of the country. The company also provided expert support and a range of consulting services related to the optimization of terms and cost of supply of basic technological equipment (solar panels, solar inverters, metal structures). Upon completion of the work of design engineers, the project documentation has successfully passed the examination.
