Rehabilitation of street lighting in Ivanovka village

Municipal Solar Street Lighting Case Study

This project showcases the experience gained by our team through renewable energy projects delivered under the Rentechno brand, which laid the foundation for the establishment of the Avenston Group in 2018. The case illustrates the practical expertise developed in project development, engineering, construction, and the successful delivery of renewable energy infrastructure projects.

The project involved the rehabilitation of street lighting in Ivanovka village through the installation of autonomous solar-powered LED lighting systems developed and manufactured by Rentechno.

The project included the installation of at least 53 autonomous solar-powered street lights. Since the village had no existing street lighting network, the project introduced a new approach to public lighting by deploying standalone photovoltaic-powered lighting systems instead of extending conventional grid infrastructure.

The project was supported and funded by local authorities and business organisations, including the district administration, the Ivanovo Rainbow public organisation, Cube Farm, Omelianenko Farm, Dawn Farm, and several local households.

The project improved public safety while reducing future electricity costs for the local community. By using autonomous photovoltaic-powered lighting systems, the village council could minimise operating expenses and redirect budget resources to other local priorities. The project also demonstrated the practical benefits of applying energy-efficient renewable energy technologies in municipal infrastructure.

The project utilised LED lighting systems designed and manufactured by Rentechno. The luminaires were installed along the roadway at intervals of approximately 25 metres and powered by battery systems charged through photovoltaic modules and charge controllers.
