Innovative technologies in SUNFLOWER-90 solar PV station

RENTECHNO has implemented an innovative project for the construction of the Sunflower-90 Solar Power Plant designed to generate electricity for the farm’s own needs. The object located in Kropyvnytskyi region and has a capacity of 90 kW.

This power plant is not like any of the previously built in Ukraine. Our experts have used advanced technologies:

  • Unique system operating modes control of the PV plant
  • Biaxial dynamic system of tracking the sun

The dynamic system consists of dynamic trackers, each with solar panels with a total capacity of 5 kW. The station operates remotely via the Internet through its monitoring system.

Our company acted as a general contractor for the construction of this facility. The company’s professionals completed the solar PV station design, delivering a full set of equipment and materials, as well as construction, installation, and commissioning the plant. Also, we trained staff who will continue to support the solar PV station working condition.

The history of our company begins in 2007. At the time, our team was operating under the SolarUA brand and implementing investment projects for the production of photovoltaic components for Ukraine and the USA. Since 2010, under the RENTECHNO brand, we have started to implement general contracts for the design and construction of solar plants. In 2011 a law on “green” tariff adopted in Ukraine, so our team focused on the implementation of industrial power projects. RENTECHNO PRIME created to organize the systematic supply of equipment for the objects under construction. In 2018 in Ukraine was an increase in the popularity and rapid development of the solar energy market. AVENSTON created and took on all-new challenges!

Solar forecasting in Ukraine

Weather systems result in strong variability in the available solar radiation across the day. This means that solar plant power output is impacted, with strong changes in energy generation across the day. As Ukraine adds more solar energy to its electricity grid, it is becoming important to predict these changes in energy generation from hours to days ahead.
