GEA-2 Solar PV Power Plant

By the order of the Ukrainian developer of projects in the field of solar energy, at the end of 2018, Avenston provided consulting support for the construction of a ground-based solar power plant. The total capacity of the PV farm is 21.934 MWp.

Among our services are financial and technical consulting, modeling of various technological options for the implementation of the project, detailed schedules for design, construction and installation works.

When developing separate sections of the project documentation, the following equipment was used: Hanwha Q CELLS polycrystalline solar modules with a power of 370 W, Huawei SUN2000-105KTL-H1 inverters and 0.8/35 transformer substations (1600 kVA).

In the second half of 2019, the implementation of this project was launched with the involvement of foreign investors.

Our services:

  • Technical inspection of the site;
  • Development of a financial model of the project;
  • Financial consulting and participation in negotiations with foreign partners;
  • PVsyst calculations were performed for various object configurations;
  • Analysis and selection of basic technological solutions;
  • A detailed feasibility study of the PV power plant was prepared;
  • A detailed project implementation schedule has been developed
  • A single-line scheme of PV power plant has been prepared;
  • A general plan for a solar power station has been developed.

Project details:

  • Total capacity: 21.934 MW (DC) / 19.95 MW (AC)
  • PV power plant type: on-grid
  • Voltage at grid connection point: 10 kV
  • Solar Panels: Hanwha Q Cells Q.PEAK L-G4.2 (Poly-Si, 370 W)
  • String Inverters: Huawei SUN2000-105KTL-H1
  • Transformer stations: 0.8/35 kV (1600 kVA)
  • Type of mounting structures: fixed, ground
  • Location: Dnipro region

Solar power plants are one of the key competencies for companies belonging to the Avenston group. We provide any necessary services for solar energy projects, starting from the support of the development stage to maintenance of already built photovoltaic power plants or systems. All the main stages of the implementation of such projects are carried out by us independently or with the involvement of selected partners. In the second case, all key processes are managed and controlled by Avenston’s in-house project managers. Our portfolio includes a large number of designed and built industrial solar PV power plants, home solar power plants, as well as other projects in related areas.
