Tavan Solar Portfolio

Utility-Scale Solar Development, Transaction & EPC Case Study

This portfolio showcases the experience of Avenston’s founders across the full lifecycle of utility-scale photovoltaic developments—from greenfield project origination and investment structuring to EPC delivery and successful commissioning.

These projects were delivered by companies within the former Rentechno Group, where Avenston’s founders were co-founders and shareholders. The group originated the projects, coordinated the sale of the ready-to-build (RTB) project companies to a strategic investor, and subsequently delivered the solar power plants through its engineering and construction companies.

With a combined capacity of 22.56 MWp, the Tavan Solar Portfolio formed part of the nearly 58 MWp renewable energy development pipeline originated by the team during that period, making it one of the group’s flagship development programmes.

This portfolio illustrates the team’s ability to create, commercialize, and deliver utility-scale renewable energy assets through every stage of the project lifecycle.

Portfolio Highlights

• 3 utility-scale solar power plants
• 22.56 MWp total installed capacity
• Greenfield Development → RTB Transaction → Turnkey EPC
• Part of a 58 MWp development pipeline
• RTB project companies successfully sold to a strategic investor
• Successfully commissioned under Ukraine's Feed-in Tariff (FIT)

Development Experience

Companies within the former Rentechno Group, with the direct involvement of Avenston’s founders, participated throughout the entire project lifecycle, including project origination, land acquisition, permitting, grid connection development, engineering coordination, investment structuring, preparation of RTB project companies for transaction and their subsequent sale to a strategic investor, EPC management, equipment procurement, commissioning, and obtaining Feed-in Tariff eligibility and regulatory approvals. This end-to-end involvement provided practical experience across both the technical and commercial dimensions of utility-scale renewable energy development.
