Dmytro Lukomskyi is a Ukrainian renewable energy entrepreneur and investor involved in the development, financing, and implementation of renewable energy projects in Ukraine. He has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2001.
In the early 2000s, he was involved in launching the first mass production of solar cells and solar modules in Ukraine.
Throughout his career, he has contributed to more than 610 MW of renewable energy projects, covering project development, engineering, EPC, project finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and asset management. This multidisciplinary background has given him a practical understanding of every stage of the project lifecycle — from early-stage development and engineering to construction, commissioning, asset management, and investment transactions.
In 2018, Dmytro founded Avenston, which became a platform for renewable energy project implementation and the development of international partnerships.
Today, he collaborates with international companies developing and investing in renewable energy projects in Ukraine.
As Ukraine’s energy sector continues its transition toward decentralised generation and modern energy infrastructure, Dmytro Lukomskyi collaborates with international developers, investors, and infrastructure funds in the development and implementation of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Ukraine.
He helps bridge international capital and expertise with Ukraine’s renewable energy market, focusing on:
